Input parameter of SCM installation

Hello,

I am trying to implement the following install on a separate host:

◇SERVER1 ：SAP SM 7.0 Including SAP Ehp1

◇SERVER2 ：SAP liveCache

I have a question about input parameter of SCM installation.

I cannot decide whether I should check "liveCache used in SAP System" of "SAP system > liveCache Server Connection" Phase.

Your Kind advice would be highly appreciated.

Hi,

Yes you should select this option as you wish to connect the SCM system to a LiveCache. Although the LiveCache server is on a seperate host.

If i install SCM and liveCache on a single host, should i select "liveCache used in SAP system" of "SAP System > liveCache Server Connection" phase.

e.g) SERVER01 ： SCM7.0 , liveCache

Thank you for your prompt to my question.

Please let me make sure i understand you correctly.

If i install liveCache then input parameter in "liveCache used in SAP system" of "SAP System > live Cache Server Connection" Phase must select the following both cases( case1 & case2).

Case1：

　　　◇SERVER01 ：　SCM7.0

　　　◇SERVER02 ： liveCache

Case2：

◇SRVER01 ：　SCM7.0 & liveCache

Do I say correctly ?

Hi,

Yes you need to select the option for both cases.

The option to ensure that a Live Cache will be connected to the SCM system, irrespective of whether the SCM system and LiveCache are on same/seperate hosts.
