Hello ,
We are on SRM 7 EHP1 .
Netweaver Portal Version 7.3
We are trying to implement Two envelope bidding
I have a purchaser role and when i try to create a two envelope Rfx, I am able to open.
After the Rfx gets opened , when i click on Technical Rfx , i was getting an error like No Iview available for system SAP_SRM object "TechResp".
I consulted my portal consultant and he replaced my SRM 7 Strategic Purchaser with SRM 7 Ehp1 Strategic purchaser
Now when i click on Technical Rfx , the error is not repeating but a blank screen appears.
I have followed all the configuration given in the below
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm701/helpdata/en/a7/ea98848f574388ab21778ddb306c4b/frameset.htm
Thanks
Aditya
Hi Aditya,
Try Implementing the following notes in your system:
1599500
1617935
1620959
1623181
I am using a separate system for cFolders, so I implemented the first 3 in SRM server and last one in cFolder system. I am still getting the blank page on clicking 'Tech RFx' while creating the Bid invitation from CPPR.
If it works for you then I'll re-visit my config
Best regards,
Lalit

Dear Aditya,
this behavior occurs if the IView com.sap.pct.srm.gp.iv_tech_resp
is not assigned to the role which is assigned to the user.
Please assign this IView to the desired user.
Here are the steps to follow in your systems:
STEP 1: Login to the Portal with Content Admin Authorization.
STEP 2: Navigate to Portal Content -> Content Provided by SAP ->
specialist -> SRM7.0 -> Core -> Roles -> Open the desired role and
choose Navigation Folder.
STEP 3: Now navigate to Portal Content -> Content Provided by SAP ->
specialist -> SRM7.0 -> PPS -> iViews -> Tendering -> Select Tech
Responses (Technical name is iView com.sap.pct.srm.gp.iv_tech_resp) and
right click and choose 'Add iView to Role' -> Delta Link and save.
STEP 4: Log off and login with the user and check the issue.
Best regards,
Tamas

Thanks Lalit,
I applied the second note because that looked appropriate and it worked.
Now as a Purchaser i see all the 5 folders created when i click on Tech Rfx and i am able to publish the bid.
But when i login as a bidder and click on Tech Rfx Response, the system is not taking me to the cfolders and neither am i seeing any blank screen or error message. The button is just not responding.
Am i missing anything here..?
I also tried giving write access authorization to the bidder inside Technical bid folder but still it didnt work.
Thanks
Aditya
Hi All,
Now Bidder is able to submit Technical Responses. But now when i login with the technical evaluator userid , we see two buttons like
"Initiate Technical Rfx Response Opening " and "Open Technical Response".
When i click on ""Initiate Technical Rfx Response Opening " , again we face the same issue. The button is not responding.
Do we have any SAP Notes for the same. Appreciate your support
Thanks
Aditya
Hi Aditya,
Based on what I understood, there could be 2 reasons for the same:
1) If you are getting a help message pop-up on clicking 'initiate tech response opening' then you need to activate the soft switch --> Simultaneous Login under Extended RFx Process in SPRO.
2) If nothing really happens, then you might wanna check the permissions in EP; see if everyone group has read permissions.
I have a question related to your 'blank page on clicking Tech Rfx' button issue - Which of the following scenario are you using?
PR --> RFx (using CPPR) --> Classic PO
PR --> SC (in SOCO) --> RFx --> Classic PO
or is it something else
Best regards.
Lalit
Hi Aditya,
I am also the exact same issue with the exception that I get a blank page only for RFx created from CPPR application. For standalone requirements, 'Technical Rfx' button opens up the cFolder.
You can try the following:
1. Make sure that the user has ST_PURCHASER_EHP1 role in SRM GUI as well.
2. Define attribute ITS_DEST with cfolder link in the org structure.
3. Ask your portal consultant to check the permissions of the EHP1 role that you got added. Everyone group should have read permissions.
Hope it helps. Let us know what resolved your issue.
Best regards,
Lalit

Thanks Sam for your inputs but i have already made all the settings mentioned in the cfolder settings link that you shared.
I wanted to check if there are any more cfolder settings which needs to be taken care apart from what is mentioned in the link.
Just to give you more information , our cfolders is defined in the SRM system itself. So i have created an RFC which points to SRM itself and leaving the user name and pwd blank in the Logon data tab of RFC connection but for point no. 3 where it is mentioned that RFC user must be given the SAP_CFX_USER role , since i have no RFC user , I couldnt assign any roles.
Is this correct ?
And in the config step , Basic data for Technical RFX Response folders , where the default five folders related to two envelope bidding are listed, these should get created as soon as the Purchaser clicks on Technical rfx as per the help.sap documentation but in my case , it is not redirecting to the Cfolder collaboration room.
Want to also check that in Portal, are there any Cfolder roles or any other role which needs to be given to the Purchaser ?
To summarize the steps i have done till now.
1. Have performed the two envelope bidding config steps mentioned below.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm701/helpdata/en/a7/ea98848f574388ab21778ddb306c4b/frameset.htm
2. Have performed the Cfolder settings mentioned in the below link
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm70/helpdata/en/43/143d2e25fc2be8e10000000a1553f7/content.htm
3. In SRM GUI,
Have assigned Purchaser with
a.Strategic Purchaser EHP1 role
b. SAP_CFX_USER
c. SAP_CFX_ADMINSTRATOR
In Portal , have assigned Purchaser with
a. Strategic Purchaser EHP1 role
And Hi Lalit, Good to hear from you. Thanks for your inputs . Your points 1 and 3 have already been taken care.
I tried adding the Cfolder link to the ITS_DEST but it didnt help. Can you help me with any more pointers.
Thanks
Aditya
Hi Aditya,
CFOLDER entry has to be present in your define system landscape and assign the SELF point RFC here.
This has to be done in your SRM core client. Self RFC can be created an RFC with server as your srm system itself and assign a RFC user which is present in SRM. Hence you have a user to assign the C folder roles as mentioned in the help link i shared.
ALso if you are using the decoupled scenario then you need to maintain the same in SUS client too, but the difference is in system landscape you need to mention the RFC connection from SUS client to SRM core client.

Sam

HI,
I suppose you have missing configuring the C folders. Techinal Rfx is created using C folders.
This should solve your issue.

Hi Sam,
Appreciate your input.
I have assigned all the available Cfolder roles to the purchaser.
And as mentioned , I have followed all the configuration settings related to two envelope bidding in the help.sap link that i shared.
Regarding Cfolder configuration, it is written no where. Could you please share the configuration steps so that i can validate the same.
Thanks
Aditya
