Access to Bidding Engine and LAC for vendors to Portal via DMZ?

Dear experts,

we're planning to set up Strategic Sourcing with SRM 7.0, i.e. Bidding Engine and LAC. My question is, how to set up the access for vendors/bidders from outside the firewall?

SRM 7.0 requires a portal, which is set up in the intranet behind the firewall. Do bidders access this portal through firewalls and DMZ, if yes, how to secure this access? If not, do we need a second portal in the DMZ, or do bidders access the BE via something other like BSP?

Any help is appreciated and awarded.

Best regards

Karsten

Hello,

Your requirement is well supported by the Bid Decoupling scenario delivered with SRM 70 EHP1, where the response submission for the RFx and Auction happens from Outside firewall.

You can find the relevant guides under the location

Dear Rahul,

thanks a lot for your hint. I will check the guides.

Is there any possibility to use this decoupled bid scenario for SRM 7.0, too?

Kind regards,

Karsten

Hello Karsten,

As mentioned earlier the Bid Decoupled scenario is delivered with SRM 70 EHP1 and as standard SRM 70 doesn't provides this scenario.

May be with custom development we can achieve this with SRM 7.0 here.

Best Regards,

Rahul
