If the Search for RWD docs on the website is not working and I do the Click the Recreate Search Database button, how long do I need to wait before doing the re-test? Minutes, hours?
Thanks
Hi Khurram,
Depending on your release, these would be the steps to follow when recreating your database.
1. Stop AutonomyIDOLServer and AutonomyDISH Services on the SearchServer
2. Stop Vignette Collaboration and VignFileSystemFetch serices on the
Application Server
3. On the application server, open a command prompt.
4. Navigate to <InstallDirectory>\Vignette\Collaboration.
5. Run the command #bin\stoprmid.bat#
6. Restart the AutonomyDISH service (this should start AutonomyIDOLServer)
7. Open http://<searchservername>:9000/Action=GetStatus in Internet
Explorer
8. Confirm that the XML page displays (You may need to refresh the page
several times)
9. Restart the Vignette Collaboration service (this should start
VignFileSystemFetch).
10. Login to the uPerform Website using an Admin account.
11. Click Administration->Server Administration.
12. Click Global Settings.
13. Click Administration->Services->Search Services.
14. Click the Recreate Search Database button.
15. You should begin to see results when searching in 5-10 minutes.
The search index will be rebuilt hopefully including the documents..
Please then try the search again.
Otherwise, if there is still no result, do you see any errors on the Server Error log?
This is located at file: <install directory>\WWW\uPerformWS\ServerErrors.xml
Or the Collabconsole.txt log, which would be located at
<<)>installdirectory>\Collaboration\log.
Please have a look at these logs and do a search for what error you see.
Hope this helps,
Kind Regards,
Matthew
