User ID to be captured in KF [APO DP]

Hi,

Can we store Text in KF. I guess we can create KF to store Qty, Nos, Integer, Amount, Date & Time only.

We have a requirement where in Client want to capture User ID in KF which is required for reporting purpose.

I can use Function ACT_USER but not sure if we can store text in Key Figures.

Is there any alternate way of storing text in KF.

Hi

One option may be to utilise the Notes functionality in the Planning Book, this is the usual way of entering some textual information about a key figure value. However, Notes are stored in a table and not in Livecache.

There is a Function Module available /SAPAPO/MSDP_NOTE_WRITE which allows you to enter values in the Notes Table (e.g. ACT_USER value as you suggest) and then you may be able to extract this information for reporting purposes from the Notes table.
