What's your OS?.. What sort of disk arrangement do you use?...

Hi Juan,

It´s a Windows 2003 server x64, and the disks are RAID-1.

Been a mirrored disk you need to replace the disk and rebuild the RAID (It should happen automatically after you start your server with the new disk)

In anycase you should not mix OS and SAP in the same drive... best practice advice at least RAID1 for OS and RAID5 for SAP

Now to move your SAP data from the OS drive we need to know whats there?

Don't forget, the new disk needs to be at least as big as the one that is still there. If it is smaller, the array will not work. If is bigger, it will only use as much space as is on the existing disk.(e.g. if the existing disk is 73 GB and you put in 146 GB, it will only use 73 GB, if you put in 37 GB, it will not work)

Normally the array will build quite quickly and it can be done while the server is still running. That's assuming that the first disk is still working OK. If it is not... hopefully you do have a backup?
