Create PDF/A with SAP interactive forms

Hi everyone

Environment: SAP NetWeaver 7.3, Web Dynpro for Java, NWDS 7.3

I want to create a form in Adobe LiveCycle Designer.

The goal is to feed the form with some data, generate a PDF file and archive the generated PDF file for a long time in an archive.

We are able to generate a usual PDF file in web dynpro with a form (SAP Interactive form). That's no problem so far.

But we are not able to generate a PDF/A with this form.

I checked the PDF API in the javadocs but I didn't find anything useful in there.

Any ideas how to generate PDF/A's with SAP interactive forms?

Thanks a lot

Best regards

Klaudio

Hi Klaudio,

Try this tutorial, I found it really helpful when starting to use Livecycle in SAP.

I hope it helps.

Hi Steve

Thanks for the link you wrote, but that's actually not what I've been looking for.

I have to save the LiveCycle form as PDF/A file ([Wikipedia PDF/A|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PDF/A]) to archive the generated PDF files for a long time.

Thanks anyway.

Best regards

Hi Klaudio,

In the Form Builder interface go to Utilities(M) > Uploading/downloading > then you can download various elements sucjh as form layout and data schema. This allows off system archiving or even allows you to work on forms in livecycle rather than through SAP.

Let me know if this is what you need.
