while installing HANA studio , i am getting Error

Hi Experts,

While installing HANA studio, i am getting Error " Java installation not found" . I have already installed latest JDK, JRE from www.java.com and also set path PATH.

I am on Windows 7 , 64 bit.

Any one have idea how to over come this Error?

Hello,

please let us know how you are starting installation (are you using hdbsetup or hdbinst) and with which parameters.

Also please provide installation log - show be located in:

%TEMP%/hdb*_studio.log

Hi Tomas,

I am on windows 7 64 bit. How should i verify if jdk has been installed correctly? how to verify if correct path has been set.

I am using hdbinst.exe file.

Here is log entries

You answer is displayed in log below.

19:02:54.685 - INFO:   Found 1.7.0 64bit in C:\Windows\system32\javaw.exe ($PATH)
19:03:01.635 - ERR: No proper java installation found (version 1.6 64bit is required)

This mean that you are having installed Java as part of windows system and that it is version 1.7.0 64 bit. However Studio needs java 1.6 64bit.

Can you please check if Java 1.6 64bit is installed? (Usually you can find this in Program Files in subfolder java.)

In not - please download and install.

Thanks a lot Tomas, installation is successfully started with Java 1.6. now, let me see if i am able to complete this installation.
