About execution of RS_BW_POST_MIGRATION program

Hello,

I have a question about RS_BW_POST_MIGRATION program.

We migrated BW and ERP systems from HP/Oracle to Windows/Oracle.

I know we have to check all connections between BW and ERPs through RSA1 from BW system before executing RS_BW_POST_MIGRATION.

But we forgot one of ERP system to check the connection and executed RS_BW_POST_MIGRATION.

After execution of RS_BW_POST_MIGRATION, we check the connection and got communication error.

We modified RFC destination and communicate normally.

Can we execute RS_BW_POST_MIGRATION again?

Or is there any way to recover this situation?

BW: NetWeaver 04

ERP: R/3 Enterprise 4.70

Thank you and best regards,

Takae

Since you have the same database Oracle on both source and target , re-running the report will not cause any harm to the system. In your scenario, the report would basically delete temporary BI tables and repair some views. You may run it again.

Should not be an issue.
