Dear Expert,

I have this issue regarding SNP Optimizer ...

I have Demand from Distribution Center 2014

two Production location are available to produce 2013, 2015

Capacity not available for location 2013 , but still the (cost - Effective)

When i Run Optimizer the APO choose location 2013 even with none available capacity

Pleaase note that in optimizer profile i mark "Production Capacity " as constraint

How i can let the system choose the other location 2015 in this case ?

Thanks

Rami

hi,

when u mentioned 'E' that itself says, it is inhouse produced.

I was checking if the procurment type is 'X' and can be subcontracted.

hi,

just checking,

there are no procurement options on 2013 right?

because it might be cost effective to procure from outside than to produce at 2015.

Hi,

Increase the cost of delay so that the optimizer will choose the other location 2015.

Hi,

May I know, what is the total cost calculated by the optimizer? Please analyze the optimizer log and find out the total cost incurred by producing the material in 2013 eventhough it is delayed. Based on this analysis, increase or adjust your production cost and delay cost at your all locations. For example, increase the delay cost at DC and reduce the production cost at 2015.

Hi ,

Suggest to check the weightage in SNP Profile of cost multipliers so that it is not nil.

Hi,

Apart from the points mentioned earlier, pls check the following.

1. Have you maintained extended capacity in resource master? Is the resource created as SNP Bucket resource? Pls check the resource master correctly

2. When a planned order is created in this case, does it attach the correct PPM?

3. In the transaction /sapapo/mvm, have you clicked the check box for 'No planned orders without source of supply' ?

Regards
