Uploading of data pertaining to machinery (Equipments)

Hi experts,

Want to know, how to upload data in SAP, pertaining to machinery (Equipments) which are out of warranty, but need to track for processing Service contract, for different customers (Sold to party). Please note that the data is maintained in an MS Excel sheet.

You need to have a developer do a BDC program on IL01 or use BAPI BAPI_EQUI_CREATE to upload equipment data.

You can also try ECATT script on IL01 in SECATT to record transaction IL01 while creating equipment and map the data in your excel sheet to that.
