Are you able to perform the copy operation, manually?

Did you try cp operation, manually?

To be sure, is the problem occurs evertime, on the same file?

Best regards,

Hi,

In your error it says failed to copy `/oracle/PRD/sapdata2/sr3_5/sr3.data5' to backup location.

From my perspective you might be using copy_cmd = cp in initSID.sap file.

Also file size of `/oracle/PRD/sapdata2/sr3_5/sr3.data5' must be greater than 2 GB.

If my perception is correct then do the following

In initSID.sap file change the tape_copy_cmd = dd or relevant paramter to dd.

dd command can copy files larger than 2 GB.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Are you able to perform the copy operation, manually?

Could you execute a dbv command for the datafile, as below;

dbv file=/oracle/PRD/sapdata2/sr3_5/sr3.data5 blocksize=8192

Best regards,

Orkun Gedik
