Hi,

If you don't have solution manager then you can raise an OSS with SAP, they can give you to solman key.

But you will need solution manager system at different stages. So, better to install solman system at first instance.

Thanks

Hi Sunny,

Thank you for your quick response. I try to install Solman, but it is still not clear to me where to start.

During installation I am asked for DEFAULT.PLF and I am assuming that I should first install ERP 6.0.

Can you send me the installation running?

I'll be very grateful if you describe me the way.

Hi,

You can find the installation guide on SMP. And you should first install the solution manager.

Thanks

It then stops. I have java installed already. I think it's still not the right java.

java -version

java version "1.6.0_29"

Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_29-b11)

Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.4-b02, mixed mode)

Can you please help?

Thanks

Hello,

Two things -

1. Try to verify that the Java 1.6 is supported or not. If not, then please go for Java 1.4. At the same time, I hope Java_home variables etc. are already set.

2. Try to verify whether you are using the correct path in SAPinst or not, to launch the program (./sapinst) for linux 64 bit platform.

Thanks

Hello,

You want the Java runtime version 1.4.2 (or possibly SAPJVM4)

It clearly states this requirement in the Installation Guide under Section 4.7

Installing the Java Development Kit

A vendor Java Development Kit (JDK) 1.4.2 is required for the installation of the SAP system

I recommend you navigate to

http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000735220&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&;

Get the Installation guide for your platform/OS and use it to perform this installation.

You would do well to review the Planning and Preparation sections prior to attempting an actual installation.

Regards,

Paul
