Import server only importing 132k

Hi Experts,

Im importing data using an import server. The file type is txt tab delimitted. This file contains 500k records. However the import server only imports about 132k and then finnishes. The logs show no errors. The Key fields are unique.

anyone knwo what may be happening? maybe a server setting?

Hi Jason,

Please mention the MDM version you are using.

Kindly retest the scenario after doing a Save Update on the map which you are using to import data.

Hello,

The best option is to break the file in smaller chunck and import the records, which will help in identifying the records which cause the error.

also check the import manager matching criteria for uniqueness for records.

Thank You all for your replies. indeed after much diggin in the data there was a faulty dataset that stopped the import process. after correcting this i was able to import all 500k records

Hi,

Check the Exception folder and the port status using MDM console. Might be the port is getting blocked for a certain record.

I would suggest to split the files into 50K records per file and then import. In this way you can keep a check on records getting imported in MDM and the records that were present in the file. If any file fails to import then use Import Manager to open the file and import. It will give you the problem to be fixed.

Hi Jason,

Please check the records whether they are new or existing one ,if chenged records also check the Conf. options to Update chenged record.
