Hi Gurus,

Scenario-

The client has a manufacturing plant. In this plant FG have been produced and RG1 register has been updated after every receipt and issue of the FG.

Now the goods have been issued to customer. During transit some quantities of goods have been damaged. Customer has accepted the total quantity. Then he has returned back the damaged quantities back to the manufacturing plant along with the relevant excise documents.

Requirements-

As the goods are returned to the manufacturing plant it must have corresponding excise entries. Client has specific requirements for this scenario.

1. The goods received from the customer should be sent to QC for the quality inspection.

a. If reworking / repairing are possible then it should be issued to production department. After repairing or reworking the

goods should be moved to unrestricted stock and RG1 should be updated.

b. If the repairing / reworking is not possible then it should be scrapped

2. The returned finished goods should be tracked in a register like RG1 and there should be corresponding receipt and issue

entries like RG1 register.

Constraints-

1. The goods have been returned to the manufacturing plant from the customer. So RG1 should not be updated, even though it

is finished goods.

Can anybody help me on this?

Thanks in advance.

The first point whatever you had indicated is normal return process being followed in SAP. Search the forum for more details if you require.

On the second point, no it is not possible to update the customer returns in RG1. It can be tracked only for the value from JV which would be passed via J1IH.
