Hi All,

I am importing new languages in my installation.

I did use this help side

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/a3/30ad5296b511d384bb0060975b04f3/content.htm

At last there is a part:

After importing the languages, you must also import the language data in the Support Packages. To do this, perform the following steps:

a) Start transaction SMLT.

b) Select a language.

c) Choose Language -> Special Actions -> Import Support Packages.

There is a list of files found at oprating system level. With status green.

Shall I uses Serch path and find the languages file.PAT from EPS/IN archives og I sholud continue with all R3trans data file that is found on list?

Thanks

Hi,

There is a list of files found at oprating system level. With status green.

Shall I uses Serch path and find the languages file.PAT from EPS/IN archives og I sholud continue with all R3trans data file that is found on list?

Objective here is to have all the line items displayed in the import phase as green. Use the search path to ensure that you have considered all the language specific patches. Ensure that status of each of them is green before to execute the import phase.

Hope this answers your query.

Hi Deepakkori,

Thanks for reply,

As i sagde alle status of this pakages are green,

I did used DACRM71F.PAT file for my supp. languages. But I can not find this file on list.

When I used path botton no this happend.

Should I specify the path where a Support Package is or I just contiue to next level?

Thanks

Hi,

Please copy the file DACRM71F.PAT to /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in directory and then press the search button.

It should help you.

In case status of all the patches are green then you can go ahead with the next step. Ensure that before to excute the import every patch has status green.

Hi Deepakkori,

The file DACRM71F.PAT is on /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in, But when I press the search button there is nothing happend.

The status of all the patches are green but I can not find DACRM71F.PAT on this list.

When I choos next I have :

Step: Start Import

The list below contains all Support Packages whose language-specific parts you want to import.

You can no longer correct this list.

And when I want transport I have this option:

How do you want to handle the texts of repaired objects?

Overwrite or Do not overwrite.

Is it any documention of this part for SMLT?

Should I continue with Overwrite?

Thanks

Hi,

Do you now what this import doing?

This import generates language specific translations in respective client.

And should we do this import every time we upgradeing SAP system?

Yes. This is required to be done in each client where users will login with that language.

Hope this answers your query.

Hi,

Just to add: would suggest you to supplement the new languages as well so that any gaps in translating the new language would be filled by a common language like English etc - rather than have garbage characters for the missing translations.
