hi Dear,

GR against PO and GR against Model is nearly a same thing u can use 01 inspection type against the Purchase whenever material comes into ur factory and posted directly in stock, while u use 01 as well 0101 where u need inspection at vendor location or say before vendor delievery or say u need to inspect the material before taking it into ur stock books. use of these two may depend upon the settings which u have made in Material master as well as in quality info records. while GR against Production means when u take the material in ur stock book after complete production process where ur material will be ur final product.here u use 04 inspection type againt pp order object.

From quality point of view:

Define the term goods receipt : Anything that you purchase comes in your factory premises from outside source.

vs

goods receipt for PO : MIGO with reference to PO :01 type inspection

vs

Goods receipt for model : MIGO with reference to PO : 0101 inspection type

vs

goods receipt for production : Mateial document against Production order : 03/04/13 inspection type
