Hi there.

We have upgrade our SAP Maxdb from 7.6.06.004 to 7.8.02.026 on a shadow system, pre productive for test purposes.

We,ve got long response times in Db59, DB13 and LC10. We checked the installation files. Everythings fine. SAP Note 649814 and 735598 are checked = O.k.! SAPDB_DBM_DAEMON connection was not succesfull.

Determination via command mode "dbmrfc db_state" executed successfully

We rebooted the host and execute the report RSSDBCHECKDBMRFC again! now, it looks much more better!

The installation logs tells us, everythings fine. Db13, Db12, Db50 works now.

But the RSSDBCHECKDBMRFC tells us some strange message warnings:

WARNING: Missing path in environment variable /sapdb/programs/lib

/sapdb/clients/MXX/lib exists and placed correctly in environment variable

Checking correctness of environment variable "path"

/sapdb/programs/bin exists

WARNING: Set the following path before all other paths in environment variable: /sapdb/clients/MXX/bin

WARNING: /usr/sap/MCP/DVEBMGS00/exe (DIR_EXECUTABLE) was not found ( Its there)

WARNING: Warning found in one step

So, our question is could we ignore the results of the REPORT, is it only a warning????

Yes, for sure we updated the client software as recommended for 7.8 on a Central System in SAP Note 649814 also!

So, whats to do now?

Thx

Ralf
