MDM to ECC: IDoc issue

Former Member

Hi Guys

I have an Interface from MDM to ECC, in MDM we have to status 005 and 004 which this means:

<MSGFN>005</MSGFN> means Replace

<MSGFN>004</MSGFN> means Update

So even if this field 'MSGFN' is set 004 it still removes every Classification that exists in ECC, so is the a way to stop this on the IDoc side to tell that when field "MSGFN' is 004 it must only update the Material Classification rerlated to that particular Material or something need to be done in ECC.

The IDoc name is: CLFMAS02.

Thanks

Yonela

Hi Yonela

I dont know exactly where configuration needs to be changed but Functional/ABAPer can help you to fix this issue.

We are dealing with classification data so functional team only done all configurations.

If you have not fixed this yet, you may want to look at the following SAP Notes:

Note 1417195 - Characteristic values are lost - Number 1 for you to look at

You may also want to look at:

Note 1585835 - IDOC: Wrong sequence of values when using CHRMAS

Note 1318048 - Long runtime for characteristic with a lot of values

Note 1358547 - CHRMAS: Runtime for characteristics with many values II

I hope that these help.
