Message no. MG144

Hi ,

When i am trying to create and save the material ., i am getting an ERROR stating " The field Manufacturer is defined as a required field; it does not contain an entry" Message no. MG144

And so i couldnt able to save a material that which i have created. Also I have tried to copy an existing material but encountered with the same error.

Guys., Please guide me in this regard,

is this manufacturer field required? It should be found in Purchasing View.

If not required, in OMS9 t code, find Field sel. group = 124, double click it to change to Opt entry. (Optional)

I am not sure whether in material master, one could see a field for manufacturer. So first identify what are all the mandatory fields for that material type and try to maintain. Still if you face any issue, then you need to check in OMS9
