Hello atreomkar ,

Please try Windows Installer 3.0 which has solved some issues likes this before.

If this does not work, then please follow the below steps and retry.

Please check on this client, in the CONTROL PANEL / ADD REMOVE SOFTWARE

if there is an entry named:

Microsoft redistributable runtime DLLs VS2005 SP1(x86)

If this client does not have this entry, please execute the

vcredist_x86.msi from your Installation source SYSTEM Folder

on this client.

If this does not solve the problem, please do the following on this

client:

  1. uninstall the sapgui in the Control Panel / ADD REMOVE SOFTWARE

  2. uninstall the Microsoft redistributable runtime DLLs VS2005 in the

Control Panel / ADD REMOVE SOFTWARE

  1. install the sapgui again from your installation source -> BUT PLease

do not use any special parameter like /silent or /NoDlg for this

installation.

Best Regards,

Jude

what version/patch level of SAP GUI are you installing? Does your installation user has admin permissions?

One of the PC's had no admin permissions. so we tried to install in the other login.

This was regarding one of the PC only.

The other showed diff errors

let me summarise your points:

you are installing SAP GUI 720 with PL?? WITH admin rigths.

more questions:

1) before the installation, was there an old SAP GUI? in this case you should uninstall it first and reboot before install the new one.

2) are you installing from a CD/DVD? in this case the reason could be a scratched DVD or a bad DVD drive. Found via google here:
