Budget for resource not able to increase

Hi All,

One of resources budget is not able to increase in project builder in person assignment.

The budget and the duration have got grid out because of which hours and duration are not able to increase or decrease.

Please help.

Hi,

This probelm is not for WBS , I am facing problem to editing the hours for employee in person assignment tab of network and the row is grid out.

Please help.

Hi,

Try doing this in CMP2 transaction. If you face the issue there increase the duration of the activity, where the employee is assigned, schedule the project and then change the hours in CMP2.

Let me know if this works.

Hello ,

I think you should log this thread with the CO Gurus (PS_COS_BUD)

but I can shave the following with you

If availability control is active on the project of the

receiver WBS element, the latter must have sufficiently free "own"

(i.e. distributable) budget to cover this increase of its assigned value.

This is explained in Note 178837,

You could try the following

To have budget on top WBS element only

If you don't distribute the budget further down in the WBS hierarchy,

all assignments will be controlled aginst the budget of the

top WBS element, which will allow the initial assignments as well

as the following settlements (as long as the initial asignments

don't exceed the top WBS elements budget).

Remark: If the top WBS element is budgeted via budget distribution from

investment program position, please bear in mind that availability

control has to be activated separately, e.g. via txn CJBN - see

note 430451.

OR

Ignore settlements to top WBS element

If you set a user status on the top WBS element which disallows

business transaction 'Availability control', the settlements to the

top WBS element will not trigger availability control error messages -

see e.g. note 1424698, section "Reason and Prerequisites", part (C).

Disadvantage: The update of the availability control assigned value

will nevertheless take place, i.e. after the settlement to the

top WBS element you will have a decreased assigned value and thus

new free budget on the sender WBS element. So this may only make sense

if the lower WBS elements are being closed (status CLSD) immediately

after the settlement to the top WBS element in order to avoid

new, additional expenses on the lower WBS elements.
