WBS element field in sales order

Hi,

When I create Sales Order with Material 'A' and with Item category 'TAO', the field 'WBS element' in sales order line item gets open for entry.

Now with material 'B' with same item categoryi.e 'TAO' , the field 'WBS element' is greyed out (display).

Is there any setting between Material and fields in sales order line item to be (mandatory,optional,display).

Please let me know the configuration menu path.

Hi Nitin,

1. Go to mm03 give your material number which is working fine.

2. select all views and give the plant details .

3.select mrp1 tab check what is MRP group. (make a note of it).

4. select mrp 3 check what is ths strategy group. (make note of it).

Now go back mmo3

1, Give your material number which is not working fine.

2. Repeat steps as above now check whether MRP Group and Strategy Group are same. If they are not same Replace the MRP group and Strategy Group . If they same and not working fine reply. I shall tell next series of steps to check.

hi,

Thanks it solved the problem. MRP Group was missing for the material in MRP1.

now there is one more related problem.

when I select plant A then only two requirement types are visible.

and for plant B total 10 requiirements types are visible.

Can you please guide where do we maintain settings for Plant and allowed requirement types.

Hi

Check your matrial master data ICG for material A and B. If different then ask your MM team to change accordingly.

Yes, there is a link between the material and the account assignment in the sales order. You can get in touch with your MM/SD guys to know more about this.

Hi,

Please check the profit center assignment for material A and B.

If they are different then ask FI consultant to make the field "WBS element" as optional field in the relevant field status variant.

Check and confirm.
