Patch Level Updation

Hi Friends,

Due to some emergency we are updating patch level in development server from level 9 to level24 . After making changes in development if some changes done to PI objects & transport is done to production will that effect in Production.. (as production is at level9).

Any inputs pls..??

Depends on the kind of objects.

If its a Adapter, then there will definetely be a impact as it uses the MetaData from SAP BASIS SWCV which has the corresponding Patch Level associated with it.

In case of mapping objects, it may work without any issues but the recommendation is that patch upgrades throughout landscapes be done with minimum transports.

Will let someone confirm the same as well
