Adapter module developement for XI 7.3

Hi Experts,

I am in the situation where I need to develop and deploy adapter module for SAP Netweaver 7.3 PI ( customer had NW2004 XI, now there is new instance of XI 7.3). I didn't find any step by step document where this is explained for 7.3. I found only documents for NW2004s ( http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f013e82c-e56e-2910-c3ae-c602a67b9... and for 7.1 ( http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c0b39e65-981e-2b10-1c9c-fc3f8e674.... So I there any document that describe key steps to develop and deploy adapter module for 7.3 ? And question is also NWSD. Do I need to use NWDS 7.3, or I could use i.e. NWDS 7.1 ?

For adapter modules, there is no difference between PI 7.1 and PI 7.3, so you can use the PI 7.1 guide.

You also can use NWDS 7.1.

Thank you for your prompt answer. I have one more question. What JDK version should I use in NWDS ? Should I use same version of JDK that is used as JRE in NW 7.3 server or is there any recommendation ?
