Hi All,

We have recently EHP upgrade in our system .Now to improve performance we have done ABAP/JAVA stack split .

1.Can you please suggest what are the test activities should be done from BW side after upgrade ?

2.Can you explain what issue we might face ?

Please provide list of checks need to be performed specific to this split .

Thanks in advance .

There are no standard issues in this split. Only thing you need to do is integration testing for scenario like SSO, Bex Reports etc.

Hi Sunny ,

Can you Please suggest set of test activity .

I have decided that i will check for :

u2022 loads from ECC to BW (master data ,Hierarchy,Transaction data) ,Flat file loads and data accuracy .

u2022 Performance of BASIC Tcode

u2022 Java Connection (UD Connect) and Report publishing in portal

Am i missing something apart from these?

Hi,

That's seems fine to me. But if you are using some other functionality like Bex reporting, do plan for them as well.

Thanks

Hello Jaya,

We are planning to split Java and ABAP stack for our BW system. We are in EHP1.

Can you please share the process to follow for splitting the stacks?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi,

First export each type of system using SAPINST using this scenario:

Export Java and use this export to install a new java instance on a separate system (different SID/DB ID)

Export ABAP and use this for the basis of a new ABAP install on the original server (using the original SID)
