What happened prior to this error? was this system running before?

Hi Markus,

The system is up & running before it shutdown. I have stopped this server as we have another database Instance runs on 10g in different LVM & performing Ehp upgradation where i faced some conflicts in libraries & hence shutdown the system to complete the upgradation.

Now I'm tying to bring the system in running condition & not able to connect the SAP with database, as I can manually shutdown & start the database but when it comes to starting sap its throwing error.

Please suggest what needs to done to bring the system up & runing condition.

Hi,

Could you start the database manually On SQLplus. Then try to start the SAP.

Hi Bharath,

Ehp installation does not have any effect on database configuration. Could you confirm that both database installations have different oracle home and accessed by different ora<sid> user.

Hope you have not given same oracle home path for both the installation. With this your binaries might have got a problem.

Hi,

I have maintained 2 different oracle homes one with name 102_64 & other 112_64.

Also I can start & stop the oracle manually using SQL plus but the problem coming when I start startsap r3 & also the error which mentioned.

Please let me help in resolving the issue by providing the tips.

What's the oracle version of your P7C database ?

What's the kernel patch level of your P7C database ?

Hi,

- Check if you made any changes for IP address or hostnames where it is conflicting with the other system.

- check if any parameters conflicting with other system .

- Make sure no duplicate listener process is running.
