Hi,
I have a standalone Windows 2003 server with three development and sandbox XI system running on it. For the first two (DXI, DX2) Oracle was installed on the H: drive. For the third (DX3) Oracle was mistakenly installed on the K: drive. This drive now needs to be reclaimed on the SAN and I have to move the DB for DX3 back to the H: drive.
I have assumed that the tidiest way would be to uninstall DX3 Oracle and reinstall on H: and then restore from a backup. However the OUI will not allow me to remove DX3 (saying that it was installed with orainst, although I know it wasn't) and Sapinst does not seem to have an option for this.
I'm running NW04s and Oracle 10.2.
Any ideas greatfully accepted.
Thanks
Craig.
I had a feeling that this would be the answer.
Thanks both.

Hi,
Firstly take a full backup of the database.
Then follow the instructions in homogenous system copy using R3load to achieve the desired results.
relevant document can be found at http://service.sap.com/osdbmigration
or http://service.sap.com/instguides
Hope this helps.
