Is it feasible to install SAP CRM on Oracle Linux

Hi Experts,

We are planning to have our SAP CRM on cloud and we would be getting Oracle Linux as the OS.

Also we are planning to shift all our SAP Servers to Oracle linux OS in future from our current OS which is AIX.

Could you please let me know if this is feasible and if there are any issues.

Thanks,

Shanahas

Hi,

Currently, Oracle Linux 5 is supported by SAP. What is the CRM application release?

You can check the notes, below;

Note 1565179 - SAP software and Oracle Linux

Note 1567511 - Oracle Linux 5.x SAP installation and upgrade

Hi,

As a practise you need to check Product availabiltiy Matrix http://service.sap.com/pam

to ensure that your planned OS and DB version is support for a particular SAP release.

Installation guides can provide you with pre-requisite information which will help you plan your installation .

Hope this helps.
