Hi All,

When I try to modify a record in MDM using MDM Java API7.1(ModifyRecordCommand) I get the following exception.

This happens when the user tries to submit changes to one record and encounters some data errors. After the person corrects the data error and then try to modify the record again, the error is encountered.

I get the same exception when executing ValidateNewRecordValueCommand for executing MDM Validation as well.

Kindly let me know any possible solutions.

Hi Renu,

Is the System behaving same when you try to udpate a record using MDM Data manager ? if yes you need to check which validation is triggering and check the expression for the logic you are using is correct or not.

Let us know the results.

Thanks for your reply. The issue doesnt exist when updating directly through data manager. It happens only when using the MDM APIs

Please see Jitesh's comment,I guess this can solve the problem as there is no record id for new records.
