Question on handling open inspection lot when change made inmaterial master

Dear all,

I have one question.

Since some of our material master data will be changed by end of year 2011. I want to confirm for those open QC inspection lot will be impact if the material master SBU,PH/GPH, Division and Profit Center field change. If yes, Please advise us how to handle the open inspect lot. thanks.

Hi

There may not be any effect on the open inspection lots provided the status of the lots is "REL".

Also, even after changing the material master settings, unless you do the changes in QM viewof matrial master OR Quality plan/ Sampling proc etc QM related changes, there wont be any effect on the insp lots.

Thanks for your reply. The material postings will not be effected. But what about the posting related to profit center, division, etc? Please advice.
