Hi all,

Is Installation Export and and Upgrade Export in SAP Software Download Center OS-independent?

Can i use Solution Manager Installation Export x86_64 Linux to install SolMan under HP-UX, for example?

In Download Basket it has same number.

Ans: Installation export and upgrade export is DB and SAP solution specific.

Yes , you can user solman installation export x_86_64 to install solman under HP-UX. Ensure that you are using appropriate

Installation master and kernel DVDs which are specific to HPUX.

Same DVD number, it doesn't matter then whether the platform is Unix/Linux/Windows etc.

I think this concept applies to all other DVDs as well, which are platform independent (and obviously same DVD 'number')
