Mac OS X Support?

According to a post by Rolf-Martin Woersinger on the SAP GUI forum, document links in SOLAR02 will not function properly with the JAVA version of SAPGUI because it Solution Manager was written specifically for Microsoft Windows. Is this correct? My client uses Solution Manager and I cannot open documents from SOLAR02. Is this support planned in the future, or is there some kind of setting I can change on my local machine to make it work on the Mac? If not I'm going to have to spend hundreds of dollars on a copy of Windows, Office for Windows, etc!

As stated in my original post, the question has previously been asked by someone in the SAP GUI forum, answered by an SAP employee (Rolf-Martin Woersinger), and referred to this forum as, per Rolf-Martin, the limitation is one imposed by the design of Solution Manager, not the SAP GUI client for Java/Mac OS X.

It is not the correct forum for this kind of question.
