TRACE ST01

Hi Experts,

Is there a option in ST01 to switch on the trace for all application servers at the same time. For e.g. we have 10 applicaition server for one system, so when a request comes to switch on the trace we have to switch the trace on for all 10 app servers seprately. Do we have any option to select all app. server and switch the trace on. Thanks.

Hi Kanav,

I agree with Varun. If you want to turn on trace on all app servers, it's better to use ST12 instead of ST01.

If your intention is to run System trace(ST01), which is effective for the app server only from where you are running as it choose to write under instance directory and its specific to one application.

There is no option to run for all app servers from ST01 like transaction analysis(ST12).

Hi Kanav,

I would suggest you to try using ST12 to activate the trace.

It allows a range of options for activating desired trace, including the selection of all servers or a specific application server.

You should be aware that activating traces puts additional load on the system.
