Error in CTS+ Portal Transport

Hi, we have configured CTS+ for portal transports, but when start the transport in STMS, the transport stop with this error:

which version are you running? NW 7.3? Or 7.1? 700?

If it's 700, so it has SDM. Could you please check if DEPLOY_URL is correct for SDM? And please also check following SAP Library regarding the deploy web service:

If it's 710:

- the engine has changed 'completely' starting from 7.10 (SDM is replaced by DeployControler/DC). Still in CTS() this is treated as 'deployment' ('SDM', in newer CTS versions you may find 'SDM/DC' or even separated: 'SDM', 'DC').

Main difference for configuration is:

- default port for SDM is 5xx18, for DC it is 5xx04.

- authenification user for SDM is always 'SDM', with a 'SDM password'.

For DC this has to be a engine admin user, fully specified with 'name+password' (so 'SDM' as user will practically never work)

So the port xxx18 is correct if target engine is on 04.

Lastly, please check if the deploy URL is correctly set.

Olá Tomas,

My portal and solman is in NW 7.01, the DEPLOY_URL is correct, and i configure the CTS Deploy Web Service, for Java of NW PI (7.1) is work fine, but for portal (7.01) not work.

SAP netweaver 7.3 SPS9

ABAP instance SID = BA1  instance nr: 10 (ASCS=11)

JAVA instances SID = BJ1  instance nr: 12 (SCS=13)

CTS+ configured as described in http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/20ccd0ec-2839-2b10-0097-828fcd8ed...

- CTSDEPLOY RFC is working fine

- export from the portal BTJ is working fine

- import into BJ1 fails with error message:

Start deployment of SDM

Check if server is started, access point for the protocol is available, and IP/Host name is accessible on network.. Check if the host and port specified are correct and AS Java is up and running.

Hi Sem,

Please go through the sapnotes

1492974 - Deployment to a AS Java does not work

Note 1389833 - Deployment to a 7.10 or higher J2EE engine does not work

Also do telnet from the server where you have deployed CTS+

telnet <hostname> <port>

In your case

telnet j1sapbj1 501204

Hi Ashutosh

Your advice is very helpful;

our DEV-TST_ACC_PRD landscape is separated over different networks, Besides P4 port, we are investigating which other specific ports should also be opened on the hardware firewall to make deployment possible.

http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-17124  is a helpful material but does not answers our question.
