Oracle upgrade to 11g

Good evening all,

Lately we upgrade Oracle from 10.2.0.4.8 to 10.2.0.5.4.

I would like to know when is the support from SAP and Oracle will end for 10.2.0.5 version ?

Probably you would recommend to update to 11g, but I need to know first when the support for *.5 version will finish.

Any idea where I can find that ?

I see written in SAP Note 1339724:

As of the official start of the Extended Support phase on August 1, 2010, Oracle provides full support only for the last available Oracle 10.2 patch set (including corrections for new software errors). As an exception, Oracle provides full Extended Support for 10.2.0.4 (even after the release of 10.2.0.5) until the end of July 2011 (including patches and patch set updates PSU). This grace period granted by Oracle is to give customers more temporal flexibility when switching to 10.2.0.5. As of August 2011, you must use Version 10.2.0.5 to obtain Extended Support.

I wonder til when is the support for 10.2.0.5 ?

10.2.0.5 will be on Extended support, not standard one.

For extended support you need to contact SAP, create a customer message. I am not sure why you thought to go even for upgrade to 10.2.0.5 without contacting SAP for the extended support price.

I guess it is till 2013, as I heard from one of our customer, I will check more from them. But create a message at your end.

As per SAP maintenance strategy, extended support for 10.2.0.5 is until 2013.
