BMLK - budget in PS

Dear experts,

trying to access CJ30 to change the budget I got the following error messagge:

System Status BMLK is active.

I do not know exactly what does it mean and I didn't find much in SAP library apart from the description of the message itself, which is Budget Management Locked.

I do not know how this status can be set-up and how we can unlock the budget then.

I have a workaround, which is using the status change transaction to remove it (en OBJNR, en "ESTAT_INACTIVE" = I0063 and as "ESTAT_ACTIVE" whatever), but it is high risky and I am wondering if someone knows a better solution.

Hi,

From BS23 transation - search for your respective system status and double click on your entry.

It will display the business transaction control and influence , whether the status change is allowed or not.

thanks for the heads-up, unfortunately that thread does not help much.. my question is, Is this status only set up once you release the budget or also in others ways?

Hi Luca,

Go to tcode BS23 - enter the system status as I0063(BMLK).

Place the cursor on that entry and click on where used list.

You will get the following details.

System status I0063 BMLK Budget management locked

No object type sets this status to initial.

Processes that set the status:

PSSB Lock budgeting

Processes that delete the status:

PSEB Unlock budgeting

Processes influenced by the status:

Transaction Influence

KBFR Budget Release Prohibited

KBN0 Budget supplement Prohibited

KBR0 Budget return Prohibited

KBU1 Sender of carryover Prohibited

KBU2 Receiver of carryover Prohibited

KBU3 Sender of advance Prohibited

ok, I guess that the only way to solve it to remove the status, either with the solution I have in mind or yours.

But do you have an idea of how this status gets populated?

Because I still have not it clear..
