Hi Experts,

I am using a abap+java stack of netweaver 7.3 . the usage is for BI server. the SAP Server is built on vmware with windows 2k8 r/2 and sql 2k8r/2

harddisk is 500 gb and ram is 12 gb ,

still the memory utilisation is 12 gb as per the performance tab in task manager.

i have checked the paging file, its ok.i have shut down the sap system , still the memory usage is the same.12 gb.due to this the system is getting very slow. i am not able to run any query. also checked the firewall and antivirus.they all are disabled

please guide me how to get through

thanks

Hi,

thanks for the reply.

PROCESS USER MEMORY USAGE

jstart.exe SAPSERVICEBIJ 1516932 k

sqlservr.exe SYSTEM 44336k

jstart.exe SAPSERVICESMD 20216k

enserver.exe SAPSERVICEBID 16128k

enserver.exe SAPSERVICEBIJ 16044k

these are some of the highest memory using processes. where BIJ is the java instance and BID is the abap instance. Both are on the same DB SID.

Hi ,

Please allocate only 3 GB RAM to your SQL database and remaining allocate it your ABAP+JAVA instance.

Some tweaking in SAP parameters is required.
