Inventory Counting Effort

Hi ,

We are having trouble trying to manage the work at the end of year with parts thar are only counted ones a year.

We have the following set up in IMG:

A - 12times/yr --No. of SKUs = 398

B -6 times/yr --No. of SKUs = 809

C - 3 times/yr --No. of SKUs = 3,740

D - 2 times/yr --No. of SKUs = 5,543

E - 1 time/yr --No. of SKUs = 510,147

The problem that we are seeing is that we have too many parts to count at the end of the year (category E). How can we better distribute the amount of work of category E throughout the year and start counting early on the year?

You would need to smooth your count annually for "E" materials by manually creating the counts on a regular basis (pushing your date range out for these materials). This is because next PI date is taken from last count date, so system triggers next count based on this + interval.
