To change the parameter stat/tabrec to 20, should I restart SAP after ?

I think there is no need to restart the SAP.

The parameter is not dynamically switchable, so I think it needs SAP restart, what do you think ?

Any suggestions ?

And also if I am chcking the parameter in rz11 it is shown and it has the value 0.

But ... if I search in rz10 in all instance profiles, I cannot find it anywhere.

How can I set this param, if I cannot find it in rz10 ?

Go to tcode ST03 and Choose the Collector & Performance DB>Statistics Records & File>Online Parameters-->Dialog Step Statistics

you will get the Change Runtime Parameters of Statistics dialog screen and go ahead and edit stat/tabrec param.
