BI Netweaver 7.3 system copy using Database backup tools.

Hi,

we are planning to do system copy for BI 7.3. we have BI 7.3 as ABAP+JAVA.

we are doing system copy using database backup tools.

Backup DB, export CI(Only Java) using SAPINST. - we have done this way many times for NW 7.0

But when I launch 7.3 SAPINST and use export CI option, I do not get option to select Database backup tools.

I donot know if there is any change for BI 7.3, Also i am searching system copy guide for NW 7.3 on service market place, but it is listed for PI and not for BI.

Any informtion is appreciated.

Did you go for Export --> 'ABAP+Java' ?

Or may be abap and java stack are to be taken care separately in NW 7.3 ? So as you would get 'database backup' option via some other tree path in SAPinst ?

we had BI 7.0 as Dual Stack and we upgraded to 7.3 as Dual stack.

is it compulsary to separate java stack for BI 7.3, it would great if you can point to notes or any SAP document.

I searched notes, but did not find any.

Hi,

Ok. As of now SAP does not recommend to have dual stack system although it support previous installation but no new dual stack system are supported.
