System Copy NW 7 EHP2 MSCS sapmnt is already shared

Former Member

Hello,

Has anyone had a problem installing a NW 7.0 EHP2 ABAP system on windows 2003 in a multi-SID cluster?

I am performing a

Homogeneous System Copy for SAP NW 7.0 ABAP with EHP2

to a Windows MSCS cluster where other SAP systems are already installed.

My system is NW 7.00 EHP2.

Database: Windows 2008 (R2): SQL Server Version: 10.50.1753.0

During installation of "First Cluster Node", during phase "Install

common system files", sapinst stops with the error

"An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including

Enhancement Package 2 > Software Life-Cycle Options > System Copy > MS

SQL Server > Target System Installation > High-Availability System >

Based on AS ABAP > First Cluster Node( Last error reported by the

step :File system export (share) sapmnt is already shared."

Please help.

Thanks,

Judith Leitner

Hi Judith,

We already discussed the problem. You will probably face with the same problem on "saploc", also. Check the thread, below;

Hello Orkun,

I had already seen that entry but am not sure what I should do to solve my problem. Should I do as Masafumi Anahara did and skip the step "rewrite the XML ;ERROR to OK" ?

Thanks,

Hi,

Check the document, below and find the title "Symptom: Cannot create Windows file system shares"

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/dc49a7fb-0701-0010-88bf-f45221a97...

Or

You can give required permissions, below to the "sapmnt" folder manually;

<sid>clsadm -> Full permission

<sid>adm -> Full permission

SAPService<SID> -> Full permission

Then, try to continue.

Hi Orkun,

I checked the permissions and they are correct. I started over and still have the same error.

Thanks,

Hi,

It is really hard to fix this problem without connecting to your system. This is because sapmnt and saploc shares already exits on the system. The easiest way to pass this problem is changing "keydb.xml" and continue to the installation.
