Connection Problem with VDS for IDM Reporting

Hi,

we have a scenario where we want to use the IDM BW Reporting.

We have installed the SAP Content and on our developement system we already established the connection to the BW system.

But now on our QS system we get the following error in the IDM Job for sending the data to the VDS BW Connector:

putNextEntry failed storingcn=258817 155 40596 1 0,o=bwconnector

Exception from Add operation:javax.naming.NamingException: [LDAP: error code 82 - (WS Client Data Source:82:Script execution failed)]; remaining name 'cn=258817 155 40596 1 0,o=bwconnector'

Has anyone an idea why this error happens and what it means?

Hi,

The error seems more like a connection problem between VDS and the BW web services rather than between the Identity Center and VDS.  But here are some things to check...

-  Check the operations log on the VDS, might have some useful information. 

-  Make sure port 389 is open on the VDS server and that it's running

-  Check your repository constants, make sure you're using the VDS for BW Reporting repository type and that the password you have configured there has been created in VDS.

If the connection to your VDS is ok, the next thing to check are your BW web services.  Check them in the web services navigator and make sure you can call them up, might be a problem on that side.

We have the exact same issue,

Did you manage to resolve this issue, if so can you shed some light on how you did it?
