Source Inspection

Hi Experts,

Actually we have implemented source inspection facility in sap (no gr inspection). Now when implementing, we are facing problem, which is given below.

In our case we have made setting that if source inspection is rejected then we have selected GR Not allowed option in control key setting. Now in case lot is rejected, system is not allowing GR, its working fine.

Suppose we have place 100 pcs of XXX material to vendor and source inspectiton is rejected, now system is not allowing GR. No problem. Now vendor has again requested to check the material after 10 days now the lot is ok, we have created new lot and made usage decision 100% ok in the new lot, still system is not allowing GR, requsted to tell me how to achive this. Means how to post migo.

Hi,

Can u please tell us about the second lot? Whether this lot is manual lot or automatically created lot as you have created first inspection lot.

Secondly, Since the source inspection is against Purchase order System searches for the UD of the Inspection lot against the PO. Since it finds first inspection lot as rejected it is not allowing you to create GR.

You do source inspection with ref to purchase order in system. You have already rejected source lot for same purchase order first time. So even if you accept second lot for same purchase order, system look rejected lot at the time of GR and it will not allow to do GR.

So if you want to do GR next time then create new PO, do source insp with pass result and do GR without any prob.

Otherwise change your config to allow/ create one more lot at time of GR, where you will be doing final inspection.

Thanks for the nice answer, but we are not inspecting material at the time of GR means we are doing source inspection only, but we donot want to create new po, but we want to use the same po,

If we have created new inspection lot for the same po and now the material is ok, now we want sytem to post the migo, secondly we also want that if we have created inspection lot against any po line and not posted UD, then also system not allow migo.

Please suggest me how to do it, we can use bapi, badi etc if reqd to achive this.
