Hello Experts,

I have a status in my status network which is have a system status - S (i.e DIR locked for editing) and now I wanted to assign a prototype ECM # at that status. Can I use the filed selection pop up screen to enter the ECM# and pass on the value to the ECM table inside the DIR ??

The requirement is to plug in a ECM # when the DIR is locked for editing.. Any other taught?

Thanks

P

HI,

You need to use the ECM # to make changes to locked documents by creating a new version of it. If your r using ECR /ECO process then ensure that the DIR version field in the ECR object list either has "*" or the new version # that you would be creating.

using this the change no would be assigned to the document.

Hi Paddy,

In SAP DMS there is an option of recording change log when status changes. You may look into the piece of code written for this using abap debug and insert your update command to ECM tables during this operation.

Hope this helps.
