Dear SAP Gurus!

Just right now, I am with the DataProtector consultant configuring the integration SAP - DataProtector to backups policy. But, we do not have the initSID.utl file.

I would like to get an example from you and if you can show me the main steps to configure complete this integration.

Pleasem help me. I get the bakint.exe but I do not have the util file.

The platform is (SAP ERP 6.0 / Oracle 11.2 / Win2008R2 / DataProtector 6)

Thanks a lot for your valuable help.

Sincerely

Espartaco Gonzalez

Hi Espartaco,

Why you need "init<DBSID>.utl" file? We are running on HP DP in the SAP landscape and configured init<DBSID>.sap on all systems.

Do you have any special purpose? Otherwise, you don't need it.

More important than the SAP versions would be the DP version here.

We are running without any utl-file as well.

On windows, you might need to switch the inet Service Account to SAPServiceSID in case you want to do offline backups,

because the windows system account can not stop the DB.

If you like to backup from DB13, you need environment (OB2BARLIST, ...)
