customer pick up

All,

We are selling a material to a customer but instead of shipping it to them, they come to the warehouse and pick it up themselves. How is this usually handled in SAP? Do you create another ship-to for that same customer?

Thanks,

No in sale order, both sold to and ship to will be the same customer code. In fact, there is nothing to do with customer code. You have to take care of Inco Terms which should be Ex-Works in this case.

Dear pistols123

For this you no need to create separate ship to party for this, if you are shipping to the same customer.

The existed ship to party will serve your purpous. Because the same customer comes to your ware house and picks the goods.

Please let me know if you have any further clarifications

Thanks&Regards

Hi,

I hope this is general process.you are selling to the customer but you are not the resposible for delivery(transportation).so here no need to configure transportation and route to this customer.other than this everything is common.

no need to create any partner function.

Thank you,

Hi. Here we have a partner "Client Pickup" in our client base. We put this partner on the sales order as the forwading agent. It is transferend to the delivery, and after picking the warehouse workers set the delivery aside for the client to pickup. No need for special orders or deliveries. Hope this helps.

Regards,

Edson
