Can a supplier take part in SRM online bidding without being a SUS supplier

Dear Experts,

Can a Supplier take part in SRM online bidding without being a SUS supplier? Not all of suppliers of my client are going to be a part of SUS initiative. We are not using decoupled SRM bidding available in SRM 7.01. But, they need to be part of SRM online bidding in SRM system.

if it is possible, then how they are going to access SRM server for bidding? How we will give them access to it. i.e. How we will generate the password for it?

Thanks and regards,

Ranjan

HI,

The supplier needs to exist in the SRM vendor org. Then create a contact person with reference to this supplier and mark the it as a bidder. When you create the contact person you also have an option to use an existing su01 user or create a new one.

If you are using SRM 701 the su01 user should have /SAPSRM/BIDDER_EHP1. If you are using portal then you need to assign the bidder portal role.

Hi,

The supplier need not be in the SRM vendor org. You can create bidders even if the suppliers are only present in the supplier directory in SRM. From here you can create a contact person (mandatory) for these suppliers and invite them for bidding.

Hello Ranjan,

Yes it is possible: you just have to create users for your bidders on the SRM server and give Bidder role to those users.

Bidders will log in on SRM server itself, not on SUS server.
