Hi,
We are using SRM 7.0 (EHP 1) with ECC 6 (no EHP), and using plan driven procurement scenario. As we dont use XI/PI we're using the classic approach using program BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER to transfer PR from ECC to SRM. So in here ALL PR will be pushed to SRM and the sourcing will be executed in SRM. When the PR goes to SRM and going to Sourcing, we try to use 'Propose source of supply', oddly SRM cannot pick up any, while we know for sure that a contract has been created for that particular product.
After tracing we find out that ALL SC from external requirement is having PRODUCT GUID = empty and the length of the product number is 18 (for example 000000001400000000 ) while the contract supposed to be taken have PRODUCT GUID filled with product with length 0000000000000000000000000000001400000000. We believe that this is the reason the contract cannot be picked.
So is there anyone know how to solve this issue? i.e how to make PRODUCT GUID filled? Is there any customizing we miss?
Note that we have configured the material master identical between ECC and SRM
in ECC the configuration in Logistic General > Material Master > Basic Setting > Define output format of material numbers
in SRM the configuration in SRM server > Master data > Products > Define output format and storage format of Product IDs ---> it is always configured to be 18 in length and no tick for indicator display leading zeroes and save lexicographically
Appreciate help on this
Best regards,
John
Problem solved, SAP told us to apply OSS note 1592750 and this solved our issue.
