How to take the final constrained forecast from APO and make stock movement

Hi All,

How to take the final constrained forecast from APO and make stock movements for allocation to match this in R/3.

If yes , then this process should be rerun if there is any problem/errors.

Look forward to your early reply!

Best regards!

12,

Another vague question.

It is unclear what you mean "stock movements for allocation". Please elaborate.

Forecast in APO typically is managed in Demand Planning. You can logically constrain the forecast, but there is no inherent constraint for forecast in DP.

Constraints are usually managed in APO in either SNP or PP/DS. This is where you have opportunity to compare the demand plan with the supply constraints. As I said earlier, though, you can create your DP forecast to mean anything you want it to mean. If you, for instance, place Key Figures into your DP Planning books that represent constraints, then you can manipulate them any way you want. If you are using SNP, you can release your supply plan back into DP, for further enhancements (and possible constraining).

If you do not use SNP or PP/DS, you can release your DP Demand plan directly to R/3. If the Demand plan that you release is 'constrained' in your mind, then you are in fact releasing a constrained forecast to R/3. The resulting Demand Plan appears in R/3 as Planned Independent requirements.
